Simply the careers of Mathematics, Mathematics Applied and Mathematics Applied and Computation (all of UNAM) seem to be the same but they are not. Although they were designed for continous develoment of the Maths and student  preparation, MAC has been the most flexible major to students to choose what they are going to do.

The key to undestarnding the above statement is reading the study plan of majors one by one: the Mathematics programme focuses to prepare the student to follow on the academic world; the Mathemathic Applied programme routed their students to also academic wold but in the end it give them tecnology tools that they are going to use in a specialitation; and Mathematics Applied and Computation provides these same tecnology tools from beinning for their graduates have more options. They can choose between go to the academic world or go to a job in a company.
